Partly Facetious: Is his wealth sourced to controversial rental plants?

"So Prime Minister Gilani told the Americans off in the National Assembly?"
Published January 16, 2010

"So Prime Minister Gilani told the Americans off in the National Assembly?"
"Indeed, and I reckon he made a lot of brownie points with the people of this country."
"Enough brownie points to turn public opinion in favour of the PPP government?"
"Well, of that I am not sure. The bottom line is that people generally vote for those who have the capacity to turn the economy around. And by this I don't mean turning a recession around, like the rest of the world's governments are struggling to do - a challenging task to say the least - but more basic like providing electricity to the people and factories of this country for 18 hours a day..."
"Why not 24 hours a day?"
"Our expectations have been severely tempered if you will."
"So we will be happy with six long hours of loadshedding per day?"
"Yes and we would be happy when our Minister for Water and Power and his two brothers begin to pay their electricity bills on time."
"The poor fellow paid up as soon as the default hit the airwaves."
"Yes, but why did he have to wait..."
"Haven't you ever paid a bill late?"
"Yes, but not that late - the guy hadn't paid for six months or so."
"He was hard pressed for cash as his expenditure on other items went up."
"If you are referring to the buzz in the capital that he recently bought a place in the UK, and mind you this in spite of the fact that the rental power projects did not go as planned..."
"Hey, that shows his wealth is not sourced to the controversial RRPs."
"I heard he has turned around and sold the flat."
"You could be done in for defamation."
"Can't any one take a joke?"
"Not in today's climate. I mean did you take the President's joke that he wants rapprochement with the Sharifs with Taseer sitting beside him the proclamation by him that he has no intention of letting Taseer go?"
"Yeah, I guess but Raja sahib is spending a lot of money on another item which I hear is in short supply in the capital. Can you guess what it is?"
"Loyalty?"
"No, nothing like that. I meant hair colour. The PPP is into it in a big way."
"They aren't into replacement, a much more expensive proposition."
